Penumbra takes First Place at Colorado Watercolor Society

On Friday, November 12, 2010, Valli's painting Penumbra was awarded First Place in the Colorado Watercolor Society's Juried Member Show at the James A. Michener Library at the University of Northern Colorado. Juror Dick
Farley, highly respected Denver architect and monoprint artist, told the attendees what he appreciated about the painting -- its flow of rich colors, the mystery, the little touches of light in the dark colors that moved the viewer through the painting.
